On July 19th and 20th Local 436 held a two day
general membership meeting at Darien Lake.
The local sold over 3,000 tickets to our
members who enjoyed the days with their
families. With the high price of gas,
the event was attended by those who are on a
very tight budgets. The weather was on
our side and the days where enjoyed by all.
Our venders were there to explain the CSEA
programs and to answer any questions that our
members may have had. Next year
year we are going to try a little different time
and days to hold this event. Suggestions
were made by our CSEA members to hold the
meeting on a Tuesday - Wednesday or a Wednesday
- Thursday so that those that are unavailable to
get weekends off would be able too attend.
We will give the dates for this event in January
so that everyone has time to request time off.
Local 436 raised over 1,200 to be donated to our
five hospice we give to each year (Teresa House,
St. Johns, Corning, St. Vincent and the Isaha
House). Thank you one and all for
participating in this event. |
