CSEA Local 436 SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM for 2010-2011

CSEA Local 436 is proud to announce the availability of three (3) $500 awards (solely for pursuit of college degree coursework) for Local 436 members or their high school graduating senior (entering college for the first time).

Also available this year will be a FUND of $500 available to Local 436 members wishing to take a "trades" course (non-degree coursework). This will assist members to perhaps take a course offered by a local college or BOCES, whether it is job related or not. Have an interest in photography or want to take an electrical/plumbing course? Courses may also include, but are not limited to, a computer class, personal development, or health related. PLEASE NOTE: APPLICANTS MAY RECEIVE ONLY A PARTIAL AWARD, DEPENDENT UPON THE NUMBER OF QUALIFYING APPLICATIONS RECEIVED.

Awards are available ONLY for the Fall 2010 and/or Spring 2011 school semesters. (Courses available during summer sessions are not eligible for consideration.)

Applications will be available on the Lakes Public/CSEA, OMRDD INTRANET Finger Lakes DDSO webpage, local436.org or at your nearest CSEA office.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: must be postmarked no later than April 15th, 2010 via Federal mail or received by April 15th, 2010 close of business via interoffice mail. (No application will be accepted after this date.)

For additional details, please contact the CSEA Local 436 office at (800)984-2732.
